Adele’s highly anticipated album 25 is set to be released this Friday, November 20th. The album is the first new music from the British singer-songwriter since the release of her Academy Award winning single “Skyfall” which was released back in 2012. Yesterday, Adele teased fans with a snippet of herself singing “When We Were Young,” the second song to be released from 25. The clip was found in a preview for an exclusive interview with 60 Minutes Australia. Watch the full performance of the brand new song below.
The debut single from the brand new album titled “Hello” dropped last month and quickly topped the Hot 100 charts with digital sales of over 1.1 million copies, which broke the previous record of 636,000 copies held by Flo Rida‘s “Right Round.”
Adele is predicted to make more music history with her latest LP 25. The singer may break the record for most album copies sold within a seven-day period. NSYNC currently holds the title with approximately 2.4 million albums sold of No Strings Attached. If the songstress is able to break this record, she will also take the crown from Britney Spears for the largest first week sales ever by a female singer. Spears’ Oops!… I Did It Again sold just about 1.3 million copies back in 2000 during its first week.
Earlier this month, Adele performed “Hello” at the 17th NRJ Music Awards ceremony in Cannes, France. To make this year even more special for Adele, her previous album 21 was just named Billboard’s greatest album of all time. The British singer-songwriter is also set to perform as the musical guest alongside host Matthew McConaughey on NBC’s Saturday Night Live this weekend (Saturday, November 21st).
